"I became a student of Homoeopathy in 2001 and soon
realised that I either needed to invest in bigger bookshelves
or a software package. As a busy mother I chose to invest
in a software package. I researched thoroughly the packages
on offer and tried out the three main programs. I chose
Miccant’s Cara professional as it won hands down from
my personal point of view.
In 2003 having re evaluated the software options available
to me choosing ISIS was an easy decision. It simply stood
apart from its major competitors. The key thing, which impressed
me, was that it was so "user friendly". It looked
better and was easier to use and understand quickly. Because
of this I was able to easily search and filter the enormous
amount of information in many different ways. ISIS has undoubtedly
given me a huge advantage in my studies.
With ISIS I can research information in a fraction of the
time it would take me with books and gather from a greater
range of authors. My Repertorising skills have also improved
enormously and I am now very familiar with several repertories.
I have found that this familiarity, once gained through
using ISIS, is easily transferable to books. For instance,
my college repertory is Synthesis 8.1 and I can honestly
say that my skills in using this have been enhanced through
the familiarity in navigation I have gained whilst using
the program. In fact, because of ISIS, I am now as comfortable
with using Phatak and Murphy's (to name just two) as I am
with Synthesis in class.
I would recommend this program without hesitation. The
diversity and depth of information is breathtaking, and
the friendly and stylish interface is refreshingly accessible."

I wanted to get ISIS for three reasons. Although I have
practiced Chiropractic for 26 years and Chinese Medicine
for 17 years, I am a bare beginner in the practice of Homeopathy.
Originally I wanted it so that the process of repertorisation
would be less intimidating and I could begin to practice.
I also wanted to have as many texts as possible easily accessible
from the program. ISIS wonderfully fulfils these two needs.
In addition, I can see that ISIS is a wonderful learning
tool that goes well beyond the mere accessing of texts.
The grouping of remedies in various ways and the multiple
means of case analysis available should facilitate the learning
of remedies and the practice of Homeopathy considerably.
I am sure I have barely begun to tap into the possibilities
that ISIS offers for learning Homeopathy.

I have used Cara for a number of years, and now have ISIS
the new program from the Miccant stable. Cara was affordable
and very useful to me but I always felt MacRep and Radar
may be more functional after seeing my tutors in the past
whizzing round them. ISIS is however so well integrated
and superbly clinically functional, and although I have
a great deal to discover in the program still, my inferiority
complex has been replaced by a slight smugness at the state
of the art functions and superb library. Do have a look
before committing to purchase of any other.

with Cara, I upgraded to Isis. Isis is a brilliant programme
and is even more user friendly than Cara. Apart from being
a tool for day to day analysis of cases, I have also found
it very inspiring. I am learning a lot about new proving

different ways of approaching cases. I find the (on- screen
visual/audio) tutorials very useful to explore what Isis
has to offer.
